235/45R17 97V XL TL BSW NS-20 NOBLE SPORT NANKANG ALL SEASON Review

I recently purchased a set of Nankang Ns-20 noble sport tires for a set of slightly smaller than stock 17" wheels on my 07 mazdaspeed3. The 235/45R17 size Noble Sports were $20 to $40 cheaper per tire than the next two tires in that size at an online tire store.

They are VERY quiet and very smooth riding, much smoother than the Dunlop tires I had on the car previously. They dramatically improved the ride quality of my car on brick streets versus either the stock 18 inch wheels as well.

The handling is not quite as crisp, and the road feel is now a bit numb, but the quietness & smooth ride make up for that.

They seem to grip pretty well at the limit, though, and are very good in the rain. They're actually not horrible in the snow -- I'm sure actual snow tires would be better, but these are tolerable.

I'd recommend these if you need to save some money, and are willing to sacrifice some handling and road feel for ride quality & less noise.

Now that I've had a chance to drive in some snow with them, I'm happy to say that they actually work well in snow -- better than the Dunlop tires I had previously.

I've put about 5K miles on them now and they're wearing pretty well -- as well as any other tires I've had.

Update: I now have about 10K miles on them and they're holding up pretty well. I drive mostly twisty back roads to work at quick (but legal) speeds around the corners, and typically only get about 10-15K miles from a set of tires. So far, these have held up at least as long, and in some cases longer than some of the other, bigger name tires I've had (Dun**p, Mic***in, etc.)
