I finally reached the end of a bad situation. The first part I order through Amazon market (AC-Direct) was broken and obviously used (sold as a new part). After a few weeks of getting now where with AC-Direct in replacing the broken part they had sent me I ordered another part directly from Amazon. The part got to me quickly and worked. I eventually put a claim in through the A-to-z Guarantee Program and was told to ship it back for a refund, which I did, and then two days later get the email from Amazon to ship it back to AC-Direct with "signature confirmation of delivery" which I didn't. And now somehow AC-Direct didn't get the returned part.

Moral to the story - I should have spent 20% more and gotten my part directly from Amazon the first time. The market place is just like brick and mortar stores and some are good, some not so good, and some are just crooks (AC-Direct). And the the A-to-z Guarantee Program is not as great as I would have liked.
