This is not a motorcycle helmet. It has no DOT certification, and it is illegal in the US to sell a helmet without DOT certification as a motorcycle helmet. With good reason--it isn't safe. This is a snowboarding helmet with ASTM certification. Please do not buy and use this as a motorcycle helmet. It can't provide adequate protection.I have asked Amazon repeatedly to change this description because wearing this as a motorcycle helmet could be deadly. I almost did. But the box didn't indicate DOT certification, so I checked Bolle's site, and sure enough--it's NOT a motorcycle helmet--it's a snowboard helmet.
BTW, if you snowboard, buy it. It's absolutely gorgeous! I was SO disappointed to have to return it, but alas, I am disabled and cannot snowboard.
