Needed just a simple Master Brake Cylinder for on old Toyota Tercel that just keeps on chugging along. The internet has choices from remanufactured to new. And then, over at the top of the top of the list in terms of price is the Beck Arnley offering. Great photos, looked "better" and at TWICE the price of the next one down, the assumption was that it was going to be a great part. Amazon, as usualy provides a seamless purchase, delivery in two days, open the box, and.... The flange appeared to have been dropped on a cement floor. The "O" ring had chunk missing. The round beveled front area that seated into the car was so poorly cast that a section was missing in the circle. And at an area where a "relief" was needed to mate the part to the receiver, the die grinder blitzed out well more than was necessary. A truly sub-standard piece. But the mechanic said that all the parts imported from who knows where are the same, so..... you spent twice than you had to, but live with it. So it does stop the car ~ I'm thankful for that. But as to Beck Arnley ~ I called to the headquarters and actually got a call back from a lady who asked for pictures and seemed to be concerned ~ no offer to send back the part, or we'll send a better one, just "concern." I didn't follow up ~ too much brain damage. I'll just caution buyers to beware. BUT as to AMAZON, a great company ~ offered a full refund, sent over a prepaid, no charge return UPS Label, not even a blink!! No wonder as to why Amazon is such as successful business.
